Newark: Fantastic Tripadvisor reviews of Ashiana Indian Restaurant, North Muskham, see it among top 10% of restaurants in the world
Fantastic reviews over the last 12 months have earned an Indian restaurant near Newark a place among favourites for the second year running.
The Ashiana Indian Restaurant in North Muskham was notified of the accolade this week by Tripadvisor, the global review platform, after a very challenging year.
This highly-regarded badge of honour places the Ashiana in the top 10% of restaurants in the world and means they have been consistently receiving great diner feedback for over 12 months, despite the pandemic.
TripAdvisor said to owner Saiqul Miah: “Each year we comb through genuine reviews, ratings and saves from travellers everywhere and we use that information to award the very best. You’re part of
an exclusive group.”
This award puts the Ashiana in the same category as exceptional local dining venues such as the two
Michelin-star restaurant Sat Bains in Nottingham.
On receiving the 2021 award, entrepreneur and owner of the award-winning Ashiana Indian Restaurant, Saiqul Miah, said: “We were devastated when we had to close both the restaurant at North Muskham because of the coronavirus lockdown, but in many ways, there was a silver lining to it.
“We wisely used the time during the lockdown to completely refurbish the dining room and create a brand new alfresco garden area for our customers to enjoy. So far everyone has been blown away by the new Ashiana that they a dining at now that lockdown has eased.
"Myself and the team are so happy to be finally welcoming back our loyal diners.”

Earlier this year, the restaurant was given a refurb worth a massive £120,000. Mr Miah wanted to transform the outside area of the restaurant to appeal to diners as lockdown restrictions began to ease.
