Ward Thomas to bring intimate acoustic tour tour to Newark Palace Theatre

Country duo Ward Thomas are bringing an intimate acoustic tour on the road, sharing stripped back versions of songs from across their career.

Hailed as ‘the UK’s most successful country act’, twin sisters Catherine and Lizzy Ward Thomas will bring their special show to venues around the country with a 22-date tour across January and February — including a date at Newark Palace Theatre on January 21.

The show will take Ward Thomas back to their early days of performing and writing together, and they will share the stories behind the songs that have seen them make such an impact on country music.

From recording their debut album, 2014’s ‘From Where We Stand’, whilst still in school, the duo have since cemented themselves as pioneers in the UK Country and Americana scene — follow-up album ‘Cartwheels’, released in 2016, went to number one in the UK Album Charts, a first for a UK country act.

In 2019, the duo were presented with the Country Music Association’s Jeff Walker Global Achievement Award in recognition of their success and impact on country music in the UK.
