Two men arrested in car near Tuxford on suspicion of attempted murder




Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The suspects' car was stopped by police on the A1 near Tuxford on Tuesday at around 3pm.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police acted on information from Lincolnshire’s armed response vehicles which spotted the car in question.

Notts Police joined the pursuit with armed response vehicles and dog units.

The arrests are in connection with an incident that happened in Hounslow on Monday.

Chief Inspector Chris Sullivan, who oversaw the operation, said: “We work closely with all of our bordering forces and indeed with forces across the country.

"We acted quickly on the information shared with us in this case and we will continue to foster good relationships with our colleagues in other forces.”
