Two men due in court following search warrants in Moorlands Road, Norwell, and Appletree Close, Newark
Two men are due to appear in court tomorrow after police carried out two drugs warrants on Friday (January 31).
Officers from Nottinghamshire Police executed warrants in Moorlands Road, Norwell as well as Appletree Close in Newark and recovered a quantity of cannabis as well as a firearm.
Four men, aged 40, 35, 32 and 27, and two women, aged 35 and 32, were arrested in connection with a range of offences.
Leon Dewar, 32, of Moorlands Road, Norwell, has been charged with production of cannabis and remanded to appear at Mansfield Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday 3 February).
James Sullivan, 35, of Beaumont Walk, Newark, has been charged with failing to attend court and driving whilst disqualified and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The four other people arrested have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Detective Sergeant David Prest, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Two people have now been charged but our investigation is continuing.
“If you have any concerns or see anything suspicious in your area, please do not hesitate to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency."
