Service to be restored at Post Offices in Coddington and Long Bennington as outreach returns
Two villages are set to have their Post Office services restored for a few days a week.
The services are to be up and running again at Post Offices in Coddington and Long Bennington.
It comes after both were temporarily closed after the resignation of the Postmaster and the premises.
The Post Offices on Newark Road, Coddington, and Main Road, Long Bennington, have been temporarily closed since January 2018 and February 2019 respectively.
The two new services in Long Bennington are to return at St James's village hall on a Wednesday, starting October 30, from 9-11am and Thursday from 1-3pm.
Services in Coddington are set to return to Coddington Community Centre from Thursday, October 31, between 1-4pm.
"We are delighted to be restoring Post Office services to the area and we hope that customers will continue to use the service," said Ian Johnson, Post Office change manager.
The Post Office said it will continue to monitor its services on an on-going basis and customers are able to give feedback on the plan until November 15.
Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 435227.
