UPDATE: Beacon Hill Road near A1 reopens after damage to gas main

Beacon Hill Road near the A1 has reopened after damage to a gas main.
The damage was caused overnight whilst road resurfacing works were taking place.
The leak was contained and no one was hurt in the incident. No properties were off gas.
A spokesperson for Cadent, the gas network and emergency service for the East Midlands, said its teams had been working though the night to fix the damage that has now been attended to.
They said: "The main thing is clearly that everyone is safe, and we have this under control."
