A 40-year-old man is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Monday) charged with an immitation firearm offence following an incident in Newark.
He was one of three men arrested in Yorke Drive following a report of a man in possession of what was believed to be a handgun in Esther Varney Place, at around 7.30pm on Friday.
Alguimantas Saikevicius, of Yorke Drive, Newark, has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with the intention to cause fear of violence, possession of a bladed article and being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle.
Two other men, aged 57 and 28, who were arrested in connection with the incident have been released under investigation.
