Total 554 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood from Thursday, March 24 to Monday, March 28, according to Public Health England




A total of 554 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood since Thursday, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 40,409 cases (up 611) Bassetlaw 37,307 (up 488) Broxtowe 35,394 (up 571) Gedling 38,603 (up 556) Mansfield 35,780 (up 568) Newark and Sherwood 36,926 (up 554) Rushcliffe 38,984 (up 563) Nottingham city 105,496 (up 1,042) and Nottinghamshire 263,403 (up 3,911).

In the last seven days there have been 1,142 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 90 cases on the previous seven-day period.

There have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 273.

According to the latest data, 20,905,515 (up 291,698) patients in the UK tested positive and 164,671 (up 389) people died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to March 27 is 52,783,242 (up 7,627) the number with the second dose is 49,393,056 (up 8,042) and the booster 38,761,519 (up 7,517).
