Total of 70 coronavirus cases reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Saturday, February 12) according to Public Health England

A total of 70 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 36,296 (up 84) Bassetlaw 33,721 (up 82) Broxtowe 31,196 (up 105) Gedling 34,663 (up 111) Mansfield 32,218 (up 63) Newark and Sherwood 32,720 (up 70) Rushcliffe 34,248 (up 118) Nottingham city 97,191 (up 216) Nottinghamshire 235,062 (up 633).

In the last seven days there have been 834 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is down 61 cases on the previous seven-day period.

In the latest 24-hour period, there have been no new deaths reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, leaving the total at 269.

According to the latest public data, 18,220,515 (up 58,316) patients in the UK have tested positive and 159,351 (up 193) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to February 10 is 52,480,344 (up 11,614) the number with the second dose is 48,693,091 (up 26,290) and the booster 37,684,442 (up 34,203).
