Total of 60 new coronavirus and one death reported in Newark and Sherwood today (Wednesday, October 6) according to Public Health England




A total of 60 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Newark and Sherwood, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

Ashfield 17,332 (up 86) Bassetlaw 15,558 (up 96) Broxtowe 13,617 (up 48) Gedling 15,684 (up 78) Mansfield 15,496 (up 69) Newark and Sherwood 14,321 (up 60) Rushcliffe 14,455 (up 79) Nottingham city 49,895 (up 102) Nottinghamshire 106,463 (up 516).

In the last seven days there have been 491 positive cases recorded in Newark and Sherwood, which is up 15 cases on the previous seven days.

In the latest 24-hour period, no new deaths have been reported in Newark and Sherwood within 28 days of the person testing positive for the virus, taking the total to 221.

According to the latest public data, 7,967,985 (up 33,869) patients in the UK have tested positive and 137,152 (up 166) people have died within 28 days of positive test.

The number of people vaccinated with the first dose up to October 4 is 48,994,530 (up 37,671) and the total for the second dose is 45,021,381 (up 29,337).
