Victim in hospital following Newark stabbing




A man is in hospital after a stabbing in Newark that happened in the early hours of yesterday (Sunday) morning.

Officers are appealing for information and witnesses following the incident which took place on Beacon Hill Road.

The 32-year-old victim is believed to have sustained stab wounds to his back, chest and both arms.

The victim was found on Beacon Hill Road in Newark after he had been stabbed just before 3am on Sunday morning.

He was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for medical treatment.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: "Officers believe this is an isolated attack and are working closely with the local community to help trace who is responsible."

Officers are appealing for anyone with any information to please ring 101 quoting incident number 148 of August 4 2019.
