Iconic steam locomotive Sir Nigel Gresley travels through Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire on its journey from London to York




There was a lot of excitement as the Sir Nigel Gresley locomotive steamed across the area today, (Saturday).

Not everybody got to see the iconic train in all of its glory but you can see it moving from Claypole to Newark in the video below.

The iconic train started its journey at London’s King’s Cross Station and ended its trip in York around 1pm.

The Sir Nigel Gresley is one of the most recognised trains in the world and started its service in 1937.
