Due to rising water levels on River Trent in Newark, the district council has advised residents of the Tolney Lane caravan site to relocate to Newark Lorry Park, which has been made available for those with mobile accommodation on a temporary basis.
Flood warnings remain in place on the River Trent at British Sugar factory/Kelham Bridge, riverside properties and Tolney Lane in Newark, Dorner Avenue and Wyke and Marsh Lane in Farndon, Fiskerton Mill, including Rolleston Fields, Gorse, and Nurseries and Bleasby and Boat Lane, at Gibsmere.
A further flood warning was issued at Gunthorpe this afternoon, and rising river levels at the Colwick Gauge have also put the A6097 at Gunthorpe, the Fiskerton to Rolleston and Gunthorpe to East Bridgford roads at risk.
