Newark: Free water and wildlife activities to be offered to children in Balderton tomorrow (Wednesday)




There will free water and wildlife related activities taking place at Balderton Lake tomorrow (Wednesday).

Children can enjoy a range of demonstration's from Nottinghamshire Police, Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, The Wildlife Trusts, Environment Agency and the RSPCA between 10:30 am and 1 pm.

Activities will include learning about how to make mini beast shelters and other key skills, such as learning how to fish.

The organisers, Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: "Sadly, Balderton Lakes has been subject to incidents of wildlife crime in recent months.

"If you have any concerns or have experienced any issues, the morning will also be an opportunity to talk to officers from Nottinghamshire Police and Newark and Sherwood District Council who will be happy to assist."
