Reader's letter: Wear masks

Social distancing cannot be taken for granted so why not wear a face mask all the time when out and about, especially in the town centre and when lining up outside a supermarket or a bank.

By doing so I feel that we would be reassuring each other.

It would also mean less handling of your mask and in turn the touching of your face.

As part of, let’s call it a personal risk assessment, I suggest that pocket-size hand sanitisers are carried for occasions when shops do not provide the larger ones or by banks at their outside ATMs.

It might not be compulsory to do any of this but that should not stop us from doing so. — MARK ILES, Newark, via email.
