Bonfire Night events and firework displays to be held in Newark, Southwell and Bingham this November
Bonfire night events will be happening across the Advertiser area next month — and here’s a guide to the biggest events.
Southwell Rugby Club’s annual Bonfire Night event will be going ahead again this year.
On Sunday, November 5, the sports ground will set for some proper autumnal fun, including a large Bonfire and fireworks display.
There will be a barbeque, indoor and outdoor bars for alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and hot drinks.
Admission is cash only on the door, and cash is preferred for buying food.
Tickets cost £15 for a family of four or £5 for a single ticket.
Doors open at 6.30pm, bonfire lit at 6.45pm and fireworks at 7.45pm.
No parking is available on Park Lane or in the rugby club carpark to maintain emergency access.
Renaissance at Kelham Hall will also be holding a Bonfire Night event.
The Newark Family Firework Show will also be held on Sunday, November 5, from 5.30pm.
A Firework display by Dynamite Fireworks Ltd will be the main attraction, as well as a variety of food stalls and children's fairground rides.
The display will start at approximately 8pm.
LED Globot will also be hanging around the grounds for photo opportunities.
Tickets are £4.50 for children and £9.50 for adults, bookable via the Renaissance website.
Limited free carparking is available on site.
Bingham Town Sports Club’s annual Bonfire and Firework Night is also back for its 11th year.
Held at Butt Field, the event boasts two firework displays provided by Big Bang Fireworks at 7pm and 8pm.
Gates open at 5.30pm and the bonfire will be lit at 6pm.
There will also be a variety of food vendors, including vegan and vegetarian options, and a bar.
Tickets can be bought from the Eventbrite page, at £4 for adults and £3 for children. Family tickets are also available.
Entrance to the event will be via the station crossing and industrial estate (Moorbridge Road East) only. No sparklers are allowed on site.
Walesby Forest is hosting a firework display on Saturday, November 4.
There will be fireworks, food and plenty of activities for all the family.

Radcliffe-on-Trent is holding a community Firework Fiesta on Sunday, November 5.
The event at Bingham Road Playing Fields will feature a quieter display at 5.30pm, and the main event at 6.30pm by Electrify Pyrotechnics.
Now in its seventh year, the fiesta offers professional displays, live music, a licensed bar, refreshments, food and children’s fairground rides.
Gates open at 4.30pm.
