Woman appeals to Newark residents to help find beloved missing cat

A woman whose cat has been missing for two months is appealing to the public for help with her search.

Rebbeca Maddocks' cat Shay has been missing from his home in Wollaton for over two months.

Shay is a large, fluffy, grey and tabby cat, and may look ginger in some lights. He weighed around 5kg at the time he went missing.

He is microchipped, neutered and wearing a green collar with a bell.

He was last seen at 10pm on December 2 last year and failed to return to his home on Orston Drive as usual the next morning.

He has cardiomyopathy, a heart condition which should be medicated daily to help his heart rate and blood flow.

Rebbeca said: "He was basically my best friend and he meant the world to me."

She is offering a £1000 reward to anyone who can bring Shay back to her.

There have been no positive sightings since he went missing, but Rebecca explained that cats are often found far from home.

If you have seen Shay, contact Rebecca on 07377659576.
