Sherwood Police are appealing for information after a woman was harassed by a man in a white van on Cedar Lane, Ollerton.

Police are appealing for information after a woman was harassed by a man in a white van.

On Saturday at around midday, a young lone female was out jogging on Cedar Lane, Ollerton when a male in a white van spoke to the female through his window.

This caused her to feel distressed and intimidated, as the van had driven past her previously and then reversing back to engage in conversation with her.

The male is described as white, approximately 60 years old with long, grey, scruffy hair. He appeared to have a number of teeth missing, and was wearing a dark coloured t-shirt.

The vehicle is described as a white transit van with no markings.

A spokesman for Sherwood Police said: "We understand that this could be a simple misunderstanding, however, to be on the safe side, we would rather let people know in case of any future incidents of a similar nature."
