Newark woman raises more than £200 for Children's Bereavement Centre with charity head shave

A woman has raised more than £200 for a worthy cause by shaving her hair for charity.

Casey Lee had her head shaved at Attitude Hair Salon, Newark, on Tuesday for the Children’s Bereavement Centre.

The charity provides support to children and young people experiencing trauma due to the death of terminal illness of a loved one.

Casey, of Newark, said: “I have always wanted to shave it off and I wanted to do it for a local charity so whilst I’m having it shaved off I can raise money for them as well.

“It is a really local charity and obviously family and friends have used them, so it felt like the right charity to choose.”

She said: “I’m just really glad that I raised all the money that I wanted too.”
