Woman robbed in the street

Police are appealing for information after a woman was robbed on a Newark street.

A female employee of Provident Personal Credit who was collecting cash and selling ‘Love To Shop’ and 'Shopatunity' cards and vouchers in Yorke Drive on Friday was robbed at around 6.30pm.

The offender, who is described as a white man aged between 18 and 23 years old, and around 5ft 10ins tall.

He was wearing a dark hat and is said to have a “youthful, round face.”

Provident Personal Credit offers people loans of £50 to £500 and its vouchers are accepted in 85 high street stores.

Anyone who either witnessed or who has any information about this incident should telephone Nottinghamshire Police on 0300 300 99 99 and ask for DC Simon Pearson at Newark CID.
