Wounding alleged

A man has been charged in connection with serious assault in Ollerton.
Mr Brian Murray, 27, of Forest Road, Ollerton, was charged with possessing an offensive weapon and section 18 wounding with intent. He has been remanded into custody awaiting trial.
The attack is alleged to have happened in the vicinity of Whinney Lane and the Forest Road junction at around 11.30pm on Thursday.
A second man, aged 28, has been released on police bail pending further police enquiries.
