Newark and Sherwood District Council appeals after another lost dog found one day after another discovered

Another lost dog has been found just one day after another pooch was discovered.

The council issued an owner appeal for a different dog on Wednesday.

Only last week issued some advice to pet owners after an increase in lost dogs. The authority discovered eight stray dogs in just seven days.

You can prevent your dog from becoming a stray by following these steps:

• Ensure your dog is wearing a collar with a name tag

• All dogs over the age of eight weeks should be microchipped

• Check that your garden is fenced suitably and gates and doors are secure
