The Met Office has released another yellow warning of thunderstorms for the East Midlands.




Another yellow warning of thunderstorms has been announced by the Met Office.

The warning, which begins at 3pm today and lasts until tomorrow night, could bring heavy rain and power cuts to the area.

The Met Office said: "There are further thunderstorms likely with a chance of flooding in places and possible travel disruption.

"There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds, and fast flowing or deep floodwater causing dangerous conditions."

The Met Office also warned there is a chance of road closures, delays and some cancellations to train and bus services where flooding or lightning strikes occur, as well as power cuts."
