Plans for the regeneration of Yorke Drive Estate go before Newark Town Council

Designs on rebuilding a Newark housing estate have taken a step forward.
The town council’s planning committee offered no comment on a proposal for a turning head road at Yorke Drive.
The new bit of road is needed before old houses on Yorke Drive can be demolished to make way for the new in a long-awaited estate regeneration.
The proposal from contractors the Lovell Partnership and Newark and Sherwood District Council also includes resurfacing, kerb works, and minor landscaping to facilitate a new junction to serve existing properties and is for land off Yorke Drive.
