Youngsters at Cherubs Nursery, Edwinstowe, celebrate Halloween
A nursery has been filled with ghosts and giggles this week, as youngsters mark Halloween.
The youngest learners at Cherubs Nurseries, in Edwinstowe, have got into the spirit of the season, complete with costumes — from mini witches to tiny pumpkins — and spooky activities.
The seasonal holiday was also an opportunity for a day of exploration, creativity, and learning.
“Children learn best through play,” said Nursery Manager, Sarah Hickling.
“By engaging in sensory activities, dressing up, and role-playing, they’re building social skills, language, and creativity. Halloween brings out curiosity and confidence in each child.”
Cherubs staff went all out and created interactive stations from spooky pumpkin soup making, ghostly story circles and Halloween-themed mark making — complete with a few playful ‘boo’ moments.
Sarah added: “Seeing the excitement in the children’s eyes reminds us of the wonder of these early years. We welcome families who want their children to learn, grow, and laugh in an enriching, nurturing environment.”
