Youngsters presented with gold awards

Nine young people were awarded with the top gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at an award ceremony at Kelham Hall last night.

The awards for those taking part in the scheme in the Newark Rural Area, which includes Southwell and Ollerton, Chairman of Newark and Sherwood District Council, Mr Bryan Richardson presented the gold awards.

Mr Richardson also presented the silver awards.

Bronze awards were presented with awards by the chairman of Southwell Town Council, Mr Andy Gregory, and Mayor of Ollerton and Boughton, Mr Jason Ferguson.
