Newark and Sherwood pupils celebrate 25th edition World Book Day — take a look at our gallery

A celebration of reading returned on Thursday with the 25th anniversary of World Book Day.

Schools and nurseries promoted the joy of reading throughout the day, with many children dressing up as their favourite literary character.
