Youth accused of having rifle in public

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with possessing a loaded air rifle in a public place in Newark.
A member of the public reported seeing the youth with the rifle in Kings Marina, Newark, at around 2pm on Thursday of last week.
He was arrested and charged soon afterwards.
The youth has been bailed to appear at Newark Youth Court on Thursday, December 16.
