Zombies set to invade maize maze
The fear of a zombie apocalypse is set to become a reality in a maize field escape challenge.
For two days — on Saturday, August 25, and Sunday, August 26 — the maize maze at Kelham Hall will be overrun with zombies.
LetsXcape, which established escape rooms at Kelham Hall earlier this year, will transform the usually family-friendly maize field into something more scary.
The zombie maze, open from 6pm to 10pm each night, will be the first of its type in the area.
Mr Nigel Catt, founder of LetsXcape, said: "There will be live actors, special effects and a thoroughly good scaring planned for those who dare enter the maze."
The story focuses on the disappearance of Farmer Hatton, who, after standing to admire his 60 acres of maize crop follows his dog, Bess, after she growls and bolts inside the maze.
Following the sound of her barks, Farmer Hatton tries to get Bess out of the maze until her growls are interrupted by a whelp and then silence.
What he sees next awaits the potential participants, as they enter the maze to uncover the mystery surrounding his and Bess’s disappearance.
