I realise how important it is during warm dry weather for farmers to keep their crops watered.
I would suggest, however, that the farmer who had set his water sprayers on his field between Collingham and Besthorpe should move them back 50 metres so the water does not cascade over the A1133.
I was driving on that road on Sunday morning when my car was suddenly covered with water.
I had to slow down and turn my wipers on quickly and if another car was close behind there could have been an accident.
My car also needs washing as there are dust blotches all over it.
I would like to thank our farmers for their dedication but ask that they give more thought when setting the range of their irrigation sprayers. — G. NORTON, Balderton (Full address supplied).
