Centenary celebrations at Southwell Rugby Club to begin later this year

Southwell Rugby Club chairman Andrew Smith says he is hoping for an exciting year as the club prepares for its centenary celebrations.

Addressing supporters, he said: “It remained a difficult year with the impact of covid touching us all, but as a club we continue to make the best of the situation.

“We continue to try and improve the experience the club offers for all the community through enhancements to our facilities and investment in all levels of rugby.

“After a two-week break, I hope everyone is fit and raring to go in what I’m sure will be a exciting new year both on and off the field.

“With the club’s centenary year starting in June there’s much to look forward to and more details will be shared as our plans are finalised.

“My thanks as always to all the volunteers involved for their hard work.”
