Chad Sugden to face Latvian opposition in next fight
Boxer Chad ‘2 Slick’ Sugden is to step up to the light-heavyweight division when he returns to the ring later this month.
Sugden, who was beaten by a controversial points decision 58-57 in his last fight in December, previously won his first four bouts as a professional boxer.
The 23-year-old Newark fighter, part of the stable at Suggy’s Gym, Newark, will be on the card at Bingham Leisure Centre on Saturday, June 24.
Sugden, who will return to super-middleweight for his next fight, will take on Latvia’s number one ranked boxer, Raimonds Sniedze.
Head coach and manager Dean Sugden said a limited number of tickets were still available. Tickets for Boxing Returns To The Banks are £60 VIP ringside and £35 standard.
They are on sale from Suggy’s Gym or via the ticket hotline on 07816 840920.
Doors open at 7pm, with the first bell at 8pm.
