Newark Athletic Club’s endurance group compete in the Notts Summer Road Race League at Worksop College

Runners from Newark Athletic Club’s endurance group were out in force for the third of five Notts Summer Road Race league.

The course was just short of five miles at Worksop College.

Ed Buck won the race, finishing 30 seconds ahead of the second-placed runner.

Other Newark finishers were: Tom Marshall (8th) George Hatton (11th) Steven Simms (20th) Leigh Marshall (21st) Will Tucker (26th) Oliver Crampton (27th) Dave Robinson (32nd) Ady Dix (66th) Tim Bagguley (83rd) Lee Braithwaite (91st) Derek King (123rd) and Gareth Owens (126th).

The senior men’s team are currently sitting in third place with two matches remaining.

The ladies’ team are also sitting in third place overall.

Alison Monaghan was the highest placed finisher in fifth, followed by Jasmine Braithwaite (6th) Carly Jackson (21st) and Kim Etherington- Bates (51st).
