Newark Athletic Club among the medals in the final round of the Notts Mini League Cross Country season
Newark AC had three individual medal winners in the final round of the Notts Mini League Cross Country season.
Racing at Berry Hill in Mansfield, series medals were awarded to the top three athletes in each age group.
Newark had three individual medal winners.
Maisie Mullett finished first in the under-11s girls’ group.
Edward Macintyre was third overall in the under-11s boys’ group and Joseph Monk was third in the under-15s this season.
The full results for Newark were as follows.
Starting with the under-11s section, Mullett won the girls’ heat ahead of Lucy Beardsmore (8th) and Olivia Lindsay (21st).
Macintyre (3rd) was Newark’s highest-placed runner in the boys’ heat.
Reuben Shivas (8th), Ben Ludlam (13th), Jason Unaigwe (14th) and Theo Lebeter (15th) also competed.
In the under-13s section, Ana Billanie and Niamh Ford 17th and 24th respectively.
Eric Unaigwe was sixth in the boys’ heat with Cameron Shivas finishing in 19th.
Joseph Monk (6th), Jasmine Braithwaite (9th), Anna Clarke (14th) and Ryley Picker (17th) competed in the their respective under-15s groups.
It was the final outing at the mini-league for Monk, who will now move up the under-17s events.
Coach Debbie Monk highlighted his consistency which has seen him earn either bronze or silver medal in every mini-league series since 2016.
