County games and league fixtures occupy Newark Alliance teams




County cup games combined with league fixtures for Newark Alliance teams as sides battled it out in good weather.

Chris Self's RHP Sunday side suffered a narrow defeat to Fanzines United going down 3-2.

Goals by Leighton and Kyle Nicholson couldn't stop the home side from going down in the Nottinghamshire FA county cup.

It was another win for the away team as Poet's corner defeated Holy Trinity 4-1 in their Notts FA county cup fixture.

In the Premier Division league games, Nobody Inn defeated Newark 3-1 with Luke Donaghy, Carl Jackson, and Reuben Sampson getting on the board for the hosts.

Newark's Lewis Poole scored the only goal for his side.

Rose and Crown took it to Ropsley winning 10-1 on the road.

Daryl Price got his hat-trick and Andrew Price got his brace in the high-scoring game.

The last premier division game saw White Hart defeat Collingham Sunday side 3-1 in a hard-fought game that saw all of the goals scored in the first-half.

Joseph Bilton, Charlie Pearson, and Billy Cowling got on the score sheet for White Hart while Sam Cobb scored for the visitors.

Rose and Crown remain top of the table as they sit undefeated in the Premier Division after five games.

In the first division league games, the Rose and Crown versus Harrowby fixture was postponed.

Newark FC Sunday beat AFC Beehive 5-0 with Tristan Price securing a brace in the match.

Rutland Arms got the three points against Farnsfield Villa at home, coming out on top two goals to one.

George Sheen scored both goals for Rutland Arms.

Robin Hood Colts beat Skillington 6-0 thanks in part to a Joe Daniels hat-trick.

In the last match of the division, Trent Albion won at home as Fernwood went down 3-1.

The fixture which was played at Claypole saw Stefan Bilyk get his brace while Sam Long scored the other goal for the home team.

The Keith Cartledge Memorial Trophy match saw FC Currys come out 8-1 winners over AFC Coddington.

Hat-tricks from Antonio Constantinescu and Stefan Farcasanu sealed the cup win for the home side.

Three games were played in the second division of the Newark Alliance.

Bleasby came back from being 1-0 down at half-time to win over The Duck 2-1.

Hat-tricks from Daniel Camara and Matthew Murden ensured a 6-1 victory at home for Farnsfield over Bramley Apple with Chris Rice getting the solitary goal for the visitors.

RHP reserves won a good game on the road as they took a 6-3 victory over Sutton-on-Trent.

Harrison Holland was the hat-trick hero for RHP as he continued a very good season of goalscoring for the club.
