THE Newark men's 1st hockey team lost 3-0 in a good game against West Bridgford.
The men's 2nd side redeemed the club when they pipped the University of Nottingham 6ths by two goals to one.
The South Notts men's 1sts hockey team had a break as their 2nds stepped up and dominated Burton 4ths with a 6-1 win.
Goals were scored by Dan Truman, Finn Collins, Nathan Gerrard, Michael Shapland, and Alex Cavan (2) in the thrilling victory.
Newark Ladies 1st side carved out a 4-2 win over North Notts.
A closely-contested match saw the club's Ladies' 1st team draw 4-4 with Ashfield Aztecs.
The close result was in doubt until the final whistle.
Goalscorers included Gemma Robinson, Katrina Franklin, Evie Bates, and Becky Humphris.
The team has scored 98 goals so far this season and stays on top of its League Division.
The men's 3rd side took on Ashby in a game that saw many of the South Notts team playing out of their regular positions.
South Notts scrapped the win in the high-scoring 5-4 affair.
Goals were scored by Sam McNeil, Robbie Humphris, and another hat-trick from evergreen skipper Stuart Croston.
Croston has been impressive this season as he has scored in every match in which he has played.
In 12 appearances, the captain has scored 31 goals and helped the side top its league division.
