Epperstone’s reigning 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Champion George Gamble can’t wait to get the season started this weekend at Donington Park.
The 28-year-old is all geared up ready for the weekend, as he takes to his new Porsche Carrera 510 hp ‘Type 992’ 911 GT3 Cup car, sporting the #1 on the side as a mark of his phenomenal season last season and taking the season championship.
It will be Gamble’s second season with championship-winning team Rosland Gold Racing by Century Motorsport and hopes it will be another successful season for him and the team.
Recent testing of the Porsche super car for Gamble over the past few weeks at Donington and Silverstone has seen him top of the time sheets and pretty much the one to watch this season.
Gamble said: “I’m thrilled to be back with Century Motorsport for a second season, and to be involved with Rosland Gold Racing again in this premier championship.
“I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and get the championship started this weekend at my local circuit Donington Park.”
Gamble’s dynamic talent, his impressive achievements last season in the championship, with previously two seasons in the British Touring Car Championship and his well-rooted driving ability, will bring a unique perspective to winning with the team.
The Porsche Carrera Cup GB, is the fastest single-marque GT racing championship in the UK, it enters its 23rd consecutive season with drivers competing in three categories – Pro, Pro-Am and Am. With a busy calendar of 16 races across eight weekends, the championship will celebrate its 400th race in 2025 at Snetterton in May.
You can watch George Gamble live in the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Championship on ITV4 this weekend as a support race to the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
