Former Southwell City goalkeeper Scott Loach has joined newly-promoted Sky Bet Championship side Rotherham United.

Former England Under-21 keeper Loach, who attended The Minster School and played for City when he was just 14, joined the South Yorkshire outfit as a free agent after being released by Ipswich Town.

He has signed a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old made eight appearances for Mick McCarthy’s side last season.

Rotherham have secured back-to-back promotions from Sky Bet League Two to the Championship in their last two seasons.
