The Collingham Under-12s beat Claypole by a remarkable 27-0 scoreline to create a new record in the New Newark Youth League, beating the previous highest score by Muskham Cougars when they won 24-0 in the early days of the league.

William Onians led the way with five, Sam Rice scored four times, there were hat-tricks for Taylor Hursthouse and Dan Wright, and Harrison Allen (2) George Hogg (2) George Nicholson (2) Alex Scott (2) Ben Barratt, Elliott Davies, Joe Martin and Alex O’Dell completed the final tally.

Winthorpe and Coddington Tigers’ fighting spirit saw them come from behind twice as they came out on top in a nail-biting match at home to Lowdham Colts Blacks in Under-9 Division One.

Romen Carr and Scott Illsley both scored for Tigers, with Joe Houghton and Spencer Walker netting for Lowdham during the first half.

Carr struck again early in the second half to put Tigers in front for the first time, and it proved to be the winner in a 3-2 success.
