The new captains of Newark Golf Club have been announced for the upcoming year.
The official presentation took place at the club and saw the new photographs taken to be added to the clubhouse wall.
Wayne Joslin will be the new club captain for Newark and Gill Coupland has been announced as the new ladies' captain.
Joslin replaces Mick Carman who is the outgoing club captain.
"I was the vice-captain last year and was brought in to be the club's captain for the upcoming season," said Joslin.
"I was the vice-captain last year under Mick Carman.
"My hope as the new club captain at Newark is to cement the club and bring everyone together.
"I appreciate the ins and outs of the golf club and want to continue harnessing the feeling of it being a club rather than just a course to members.
"We like having an atmosphere of different events throughout the year and this is something we will continue.
"We are hoping to do more social events in the future and make it more of a family affair."
Joslin has been a member of the club for 32 years and said he can still remember playing early on when his partner went into labour while he was on the course.
"It was in the days before mobile phones so the club house got a call and the club pro came out in the buggy to tell me," said Joslin.
"I am pleased to say that my son Adam Joslin is now a member as well.
"I grew up in Newark, I have been here all my life and always been into sport.
"I played football and moved on to golf once I discovered it.
"I've loved playing golf at Newark and it is an honour to be captain of the club.
"Over the years I have met some great people at the club.
"It is a great place to play and I encourage others to come and check it out."
