No joking around for Newark Tennis Club after April Fools' weekend wins and Ladies get guarantted promotion

THE Newark Ladies 1st team in division three has guaranteed promotion with one game to go following their 62-46 win over Keyworth on 1 April.

Sara Jackson and Steph Smith won 22-14.

Annie Walton and Katy Dines won their match 21-15 while Tamara Bainbridge and Dawn Cartledge won 19-17.

There was further success in Newark this time for the Mixed Division d’s as they finally won in division nine at home to The Park 56-52.

Annie Walton and Todor Malinov won 27-9 (8-4,9-3,10-2).

Jill Pindar and Edgars Barvinskis' result was a 14-22 loss.

Greg Eden and Julie Pipes' result was a 15-21 loss.
