Busy period for Newark Tennis Club with mixed results on the court home and away

It has been a busy period for Newark Tennis Club.
Last weekend saw Newark’s men’s team lose against Farnsfield at home.
Steve Cartledge and Ashley Hallam took 28 games to 20 (10-6,7-9,11-5).
The other two teams lost against their competitors with Edgars Barvinskis/Ewan Kennett 4-12,8-8,7-9 and Todor Malinov/John Sampson 2-14,4-12,15-1.
The mixed teams travelled to Collingham where they lost nine sets to three.
It was the third pair of Hari Kolli/Amy Crouch who took the most sets for the mixed team 2-2 (1-6,1-6,6-4,7-5). Jason Page/Clare Hogg scored 1-3 (2-6 2-6, 2-6, 6-4) while the pair of Jack Tysoe/Helen Isaacs scored 2-6, 1-6 0-6, 4-6.
