One of the town’s most experienced riders enjoyed another podium finish on Sunday.
Isabel Darvill, of Newark, racing for ProNoctis/Rotor/RedChillBikes/Heidi Kjeldsen Elite Women’s Cycling Team, finished third in the Active Fakenham Easter Festival E/1/2/3 Women’s Criterium in Norfolk.

Also on Sunday, Rebecca Richards, racing for the Storey Racing Team, competed in round two of the Women’s British Team Cup Series at Coalville, Leicestershire.
The Newark cyclist finished 11th on a very technical course in a massed-bunch sprint finish, after several riders withdrew due to crashes at several key points in the race.

The Newark-based cyclists, riding for The Rose Race Team, claimed the Good Friday Hull City Road Club ten-mile time trial on a course based between Scalby and Howden, Humberside, in a very creditable time of 19 minutes and 50 seconds, averaging 30.252mph.
He beat the second-placed rider by over a minute.
Levick repeated the performance on Saturday as he won the Sleaford Wheelers ten-mile time trial in exactly the same time.
Again, taking the win by just over a minute (01-05).
