South Notts Ladies continued a good run of performances with a 7-1 win over West Bridgford.

It was a different result to the last time the two sides met when a 2-2 draw was the outcome.

West Bridgford came out fast and got the first goal on the board to lead but from there it was all South Notts as they scrambled and came back quickly to punish their opposition.

Evie Bates quickly equalised thanks to a Sammy Markwick piece of magic that saw her fire a pass to find Bates free.

West Bridgford tried to mount a resurgence but this was shut down by South’s experienced defence.

Stand-in keeper Freya Beaumont was up to the task and made some brilliant saves when required.

All of South’s forwards showed explosiveness as the goals started to pile up.

Becky Humfris was the next on the board for Souths as she capitalised off good midfield support to hit the backboard.

South’s Teamwork came into play and there was a good flow of passing across the entire pitch.

Humfris scored her second to make it 3-1 soon after as Souths continued to press in their quest to win the ball.

A neatly drilled pass from Caroline Brackenbury to unmarked Ruby Ryan enabled Ruby to pass inside.

Ruby soon got the ball back and rifled it into the opposition goal to make it 5-1 at half-time.

Becky Humfris ripped through the West Bridgford defence just after the break to complete her hat trick and put the score upto 6-1.

South’s Alex Stephenson scored the last goal in the dying stages to put the game at 7-1 in what was a strong showing from South Notts.
