Newark Rugby Club's youth teams are up for the Notts, Lincs & Derbys RFU cup

Newark Rugby Club’s youth teams are hunting silverware in the coming weeks with no fewer than five age group squads in finals organised by the Notts, Lincs & Derbys RFU.

This Sunday (April 24) the under-16s and under-14s are in action followed a week later (May 1) by the under-15s and two squads from the under-13s group.

Youth chairman Alan Staines said: “To get five teams into various finals is very pleasing and great credit to all the coaches and players. Supporters are welcome at all the games coming up.”

On Sunday (April 23), Newark under-16s host Derby under-16s at Kelham Road, kick-off 3pm.

The under-14s face Stamford at Boston, kick-off 1.30pm.

The action continues next Sunday (May 1) when the under-13s (Blues) host Stamford at Kelham Road, kick-off 12.30pm.

The under-13s (whites) meet Lincoln at Kelham Road, kick-off 10.15am.

The under-15s host Sleaford at Kelham Road, kick-off 1.30pm.

The club’s first team completes their league season on Saturday (April 22), at home to Ashby, kick-off 3pm.
