Noel Henderson leads Ashby 20 for Newark Striders

Noel Henderson led the way for Newark Striders at the Ashby 20, leading a group of 15 runners over the line in 02-47-20.

He was followed by Steve White 2-48-13, Steven Padgett 2-51-24, Steve Martin 2-55-13 and Jason Cobb 3-12-04.

Andy Scott was next in 3-36-02, then Kath Scott and Karen Illsley 3-48-37, Nicole Henderson and Heather Green 3-52-53, Stacey Atkins 4-21-43, Sarah-Jane Cobb 4-21-47, Debbie Bavin 4-24-57 and Gemma Latham 4-26-24.

David Cross completed the 20 miles in 2-42-43.

In the Sherwood Pines Trail Half-Marathon, Joe Pogson was first back and finished in 17th place in a time of 1-34-36.

Peter Davis, who finished first in his age group category, was back next for Newark in 1-52-52.

Tom Banks completed the course in 1-53-02.

Darren Mead completed the 10k event in 48-12, finishing second in his age group.

Sean Morgan (57-26) set a new best as he finished third in his age group.

Leanda Roddis (57-27, PB), and Stephen Gurd (1-03-46) also competed.
