The 27-hole Norwood Park Golf Centre, Southwell, complex has a variety of practise areas, ranging from short-game holes to a floodlit driving range.

It is the second major award this year for the club, which was a finalist in the England Golf most welcoming club award.

Jackie Macey, development officer at Norwood Park, who led the club’s push for the GolfMark, said: “Norwood is a great club.

“It is very friendly, welcoming and forward-thinking. This award helps us to spread that message and tell people that children are safe and secure here, and that we understand about beginner golfers.”
