Notfast has parkrunners compete all over the world representing Newark, Nottinghamshire as Leigh Marshall is crowned Lincolnshire Cross Country series champion




26 runners from the Notfast group ran in six different parkruns all over the world last weekend.

At Devon Park, 14 NotFast members joined 188 other people in the 490th Newark Parkrun and the first member and third woman back overall was Amy Taylor finishing her 25th Parkrun in 16th position in a time of 23-22.

The other members running the muddy Newark alternative course were Alan Davidson, Jim Lovett, Stuart Hawkes, and Fran Wilson, with a course PB finishing in 27-59.

Steve White finished his 199th Parkrun finished and was joined by Lisa Nicoll, Ruth Mountstevens, Kate Fisher, and John Miller.

Other club members who finished the run were Frank Butler, Andy Watts, Gemma Latham and Mark Hawkings.

In Doncaster, Sue and Steve Needham joined 215 other Parkrunners for a first visit to Cusworth Hall Parkrun.

At Donnington Hall Parkrun, the field of 315 included Richard and Karen Borrill from Notfast.

At Belton House Scott Campbell was the first member back in 25th position, finishing in 22-03.

The other members finishing the course were Dale Mordue, Cliff Robinson and Ann Manley.

Also with 330 participants taking part at Clumber Park, Jeanette Stevens finished her Saturday effort in 35:42 with teammate Gillian Goode joining her.

Notfast were represented in Australia as Catherine and Ernie Clarke ran in the Albert Park, Melbourne Parkrun.

They joined over 900 people as they crossed the line a second apart with Catherine being the first of the pair in 34-12.

The final race of the Lincolnshire Cross Country series saw Newark Athletic Club runner Leigh Marshall finish first as he became the overall series champion.
