Former world champion, the bronze adonis Steve Beaton plays darts against pub regulars in Newark, Nottinghamshire
Punters were given a chance to play darts against a former world champion at a well-known town centre pub.
For £5 people could buy a ticket to go into the draw to play The Bronze Adonis, Steve Beaton, at the Castle and Falcon in Newark.
Beaton played several Newark and District darts competition winners, as well as members of the public throughout the evening.
"It is great to have Steve Beaton here at the pub," said Castle and Falcon landlord Rob Sibcy.
"It is a really exciting opportunity to promote darts in the local community which is something we are really passionate about here.
"Hopefully we can generate more interest in the game locally."
Sibcy added that he loves the game and plays in the double board league for one of the pubs' team's the BBC2s.
"It would be great if we could do this sort of thing more often and get some other players here," he said.
The Bronze Adonis was a big hit with patrons who flocked to see the towering darts player ply his trade.
"I was contacted to come here for an exhibition match," said Beaton.
"I tend to do quite a few of these events all over the country.
"Throughout the year I pass through Newark a fair bit on my way up north for work from my home in Norwich.
"It is a lovely town."
