Epperstone's George Gamble, of Ciceley Motorsport, eyes Jack Sears Trophy title

George Gamble will make his debut in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship this weekend, reports Paul Horton.

Tom’s older brother, George, from Epperstone, takes to local circuit Donington Park this weekend in what will be a big step up for the 25-year-old racer.

Gamble, who has testing for Ciceley Motorsport, will partner the team’s experienced campaigner Adam Morgan in their pair of Car Gods-backed BMW 330i M Sports.

He said: “Having raced on the support race package for a long time now I have always aspired to be in the main race, but equally felt it was important to be with the right team and in the right car.

“I am under no illusion that the racing will be a step up from what I am used to, the level in the championship is so high and the racing so close, but I feel with the experience of the team and a quick driver in Adam as my team-mate, I can have a solid first season and a good run at the Jack Sears Trophy title.”

The racing action begins tomorrow (Friday).
